About Determined2

Determined2® was started by Immersion Therapy™ founder Peter Wilson and was the breeding ground for the Immersion Therapy™ service to take place.  Forged by his own personal experiences overcoming injury, the company and service was built from the ground up with strong values and a commitment to do things differently. The overwhelming desire to live by the words "innovation" and "inclusion" is what ultimately shaped what you see today.

As the first service provider to offer Immersion Therapy™, Determined2 has seen many accolades and recognition for its work, however, none of this really matters unless it has happy and satisfied people accessing the service. Seeing people exceed theirs, and other’s expectations is fuel for the fires of success.

Determined2 will continue to play a major role in both delivery of the service and continued innovation of the service. It will also drive the growth and expansion of Immersion Therapy™ across Australia and hopefully the world as part of the push to see as many people enjoying this very unique and special service.

Our motto is the following:

Our service is defined by our Person-Centred Approach and our staff are dedicated to you the individual. Immersion Therapy is your journey beyond boundaries “Anything is possible when you are Determined2”.

Who are our clients?

Immersion Therapy™ has been accessed by a wide consumer group of individuals and I would not limit the specific benefits to any one type of condition. We work with children and adults living with physical and intellectual disabilities, people with injuries varying from mild to severe and those living with serious medical conditions.

The whole philosophy behind Immersion Therapy™ is exploring the benefits “with” the client and being open to new and exciting opportunities as they present. We have been overwhelmed on many occasions by following this rule of thumb.

To date we have worked with people living with, but not limited to

  • Complete and in-complete spinal cord injuries from L1-C4
  • Single and multiple amputations
  • Acquired Brain Injuries Mild-Severe
  • Neurological conditions such as Cerebral Palsy level 1-4 and Nero Paraplegia
  • Autism high and low functioning
  • PTSD, Anxiety and Depression
  • Dwarfism
  • Post-surgery recovery Shoulders, Knees
  • Back aches and sprains

This broad range of clients and the group setting in which the service is delivered underpins the psychological and social benefits to all that attend. The physical benefits are achieved by being active in a weightless environment while every motion is against resistance, the functional capacity increases are a very positive by-product for participants.
